BP Becomes 100% Owner of Olympic Pipe Line.


RENTON Renton, city (1990 pop. 41,688), King co., W Wash., an industrial suburb of Seattle, on Lake Washington; inc. 1901. It is a freshwater port of entry via the Lake Washington Ship Canal. Its first important industries were coal mining, lumbering, and brickmaking. , Wash. -- BP, operator of Olympic Pipe Line, announced today that it has purchased the balance of shares of the pipeline from Shell Pipeline Company LP to become the 100% owner. BP retains complete operatorship of the pipeline, as it does today.
