BOYZONE played live as they appeared in public for the first time since the funeral of Stephen Gately.

The third Emeralds and Ivy ball in London raised cash for Cancer Research in honour of Ronan Keating's mum Marie, who died of the disease. Ronan duetted with Take That's Gary Barlow, who spent time chatting with the Boyzone frontman and bandmate Keith Duffy.

Shane Filan from Westlife, Rod Stewart, Penny Lancaster and Nadine Coyle from Girls Aloud were also at the bash which raised more than pounds 500,000.
