BOYS AND GIRLS GET NEW DIGS CLUB HOLDS DEDICATION CEREMONY FOR 27,000-SQUARE FOOT FACILITY.

 moved to the area five years ago and became a regular at what she now calls ``a little shack over here on the corner'' - a far cry from the new Boys & Girls Club Girls Club is a 2002 American television series created by David E. Kelley, who was also it's producer and executive producer. Only two out of a total of thirteen episodes created were broadcast on Fox Television in the United States and Global Television in Canada.  building she helped dedicate Saturday.

``I came here in seventh grade and I didn't know anyone; I was really shy,'' the 17-year-old said outside the state-of-the-art building after an outdoor ceremony attended by hundreds of guests. ``It was scary at first, but coming here allowed me to get to know people.''

Now an employee at the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672. , located at Sierra Vista Junior High, Johnson is part of a team that welcomes more than 300 children each week after school and on weekends.

 tables and other games, the facility will benefit Sierra Vista students during the school day, Boys & Girls Club of SCV members in the afternoon, and city sports leagues in the evenings and on weekends.

Jim Ventress, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of SCV, spoke at the ceremony, addressing the children directly.

``This is your club - keep it clean and keep it safe,'' Ventress said. ``We hope that one day your kids will come here, too. This is a tribute to the staff that works here. This is a community effort.''
