Thanks to the Disney Store and generous shoppers, the Boys & Girls Club recently received a donation of 25 backpacks and lunch totes to be distributed to needy club members. The donation is part of a nationwide back-to-school promotion held in late July at more than 300 Disney stores nationwide. Customers were invited to purchase two backpacks or two lunch totes at a discounted two-for-one price, with one of the items being donated to the Boys & Girls Club. ``We're extremely thankful to Disney Store and its customers for sending our kids back to school with Disney-themed accessories that will make them feel really special,'' said Jim Ventress, chief professional officer for the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987.
