After four hours of competition Wednesday, the host Highlanders would have settled for two good legs to stand on. But the Taft freshman remained composed to hold serve in the 11th game and break Plata in the 12th, securing a 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 victory to clinch Clinch, river, c.300 mi (480 km) long, formed by the junction of two forks in SW Va., and flowing generally SW across E Tenn. to the Tennessee River at Kingston. a 4-3 triumph for the Toreadors.
