At least one team around here accomplished a four-peat.

No. 1 doubles player Nick Kogan was there for all four.

``This one was more special because it was my senior year,'' Kogan said. ``You know, being a veteran I wanted to go out with a win.''

``The first one is the best,'' Jones said. ``But to win four in a row, you've got to be dedicated, disciplined and lucky.''

The Conquistadores (16-0) benefited from Palisades' misfortune early in the match. Chris Ko, Palisades' No. 1 singles player and winner of the 16- under Ojai Tournament singles championship in April, rolled his ankle and defaulted three of four sets. He defeated El Camino Real's Phil Gegenheimer 6-4 before he was sidelined.

El Camino Real, meanwhile, will lose No. 1 singles player Bruce Aiken. For four years, Aiken was almost automatic. He lost only two sets in West Valley League play, one each in his sophomore and junior years.

``We're going to have to step it up,'' Troy Aiken said. ``Practice over the summer and work hard. ... But I'm going to miss (Bruce). He'll be at USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code. , so he's still going to be around.''

Bruce Aiken plans to walk-on to the men's tennis team at USC in the fall.
