Playoffs usually are about individual teams, but the Southern Section made it league against league Monday with the announcement of its boys' soccer playoff pairings. The top three Foothill League teams play their Marmonte counterparts in Div. II first-round games. ``I was surprised because I've never seen that before,'' Calabasas coach John Reich said. ``It will be interesting because those three teams were neck and neck all season, just like we were.'' The odd pairing of leagues apparently was part of an attempt by the Southern Section to match up teams better geographically in the first round. Westlake, the Marmonte League champion, was seeded fourth in Div. II and will play host Saturday to Hart of Newhall, which finished third in the Foothill League. Calabasas, third in the Marmonte, takes on Foothill winner Canyon of Canyon Country.
