BOYS' SOCCER NOTEBOOK: LITTLEROCK GETS REMATCH WITH PALMDALE IN QUARTERFINALS.

A lopsided loss to Palmdale in the regular season's final game left Littlerock High's boys' soccer team wanting a rematch REMATCH Cardiology Clinical trials–Randomized Evaluation of Mechanical Assistance Therapy as an alternative in Congestive Heart failure–related to use of a portable, electric left ventricular-assist system–LVAS–eg, HeartMate®  with the Falcons. The Lobos got their wish. The Golden League rivals meet in the Southern Section Div. I quarterfinals today at Littlerock.

The Falcons won both regular-season matchups with Littlerock, capturing the first game 1-0 and the second 4-1. The victories over last year's league champion helped Palmdale (23-0-5) go undefeated and claim the division's No. 1 seed.

Littlerock's regular-season credentials were far less impressive - the Lobos went 6-7-4 and finished third in the Golden League - but it has gained momentum during the playoffs.

Littlerock (8-7-4) is coming off back-to-back overtime upsets of league champions. The Lobos opened with a 2-1 victory over Mt. Baldy baldy, baldy-faced

Chris Sandoval has the hot foot for the Lobos. He scored the winning goal against Chaffey and netted both Littlerock goals during regulation against Bell Gardens.

To keep the streak going, Littlerock will have to pull off the upset of the postseason. Palmdale has lived up to its No. 1 billing by outscoring opponents 9-0 through the first two rounds of the playoffs. The Falcons' 5-0 win Tuesday over Colton was their 15th shutout of the season.

Jose Garay leads Palmdale with 34 goals, two in a first-round victory over Montebello. Diaz started his career with Independiente in 1995.

--End of the road: Lancaster, the Golden League's second-place representative, was eliminated from the Div. I playoffs with a 5-0 loss Tuesday to No. 2 Millikan of Long Beach. The Eagles (13-5-4) had advanced with a 3-1 first-round win over Schurr of Montebello.

Fourth-place Quartz Hill (8-6-8) was eliminated in the first round, falling 2-0 loss to Citrus League champion Rialto Rialto, city (1990 pop. 72,388), San Bernardino co., S Calif., a residential suburb of San Bernardino; inc. 1911. The city has greatly expanded as a result of the economic and demographic growth of the southern California area. .

--Still going: Mojave (17-3-2) plays today in the Div. VI quarterfinals, at home against third-seeded Woodcrest Christian of Riverside. The Mustangs are coming off a 3-2 win over Serra of Gardena.

Mojave lost to Fillmore in the division final last year. Fillmore again is the top seed.
