High boys' soccer team needed an extra warm-up before the Hart tournament championship game Saturday afternoon against Arcadia.

However, the Tigers (6-1-1) didn't get warm until the final minutes of the match.

Jose Aparicio José Aparicio (1773- 1838) was a Spanish painter of the Neoclassic period.

overcame an opponent near the right side of the midfield with an acrobatic ball lift. Rodriguez then passed to Aparicio, who kicked the ball past Jeff Copher's slide-tackle attempt and into the top-right corner of the Arcadia net.

``At halftime I told the team they needed to become more aggressive,'' said San Fernando coach Francis Melendez, whose team finished 4-1 in the tournament for second place. ``We are still experimenting with things. We want to work on all the things that we need to do before (Valley Mission) league begins.''

The Tigers (6-1-1) were put away by twins Richard and Martin Galvan, who scored the first and last goals, respectively.

San Fernando, which played catch-up after Richard Galvan's goal in the 12th minute, had chances to score, but shots by Rudy Maravilla and Wilber Rosales sailed over the crossbar. San Fernando had trouble capitalizing on free kicks as three of its shots did not get past Arcadia's defensive line.

Maravilla finished the tournament with five goals, including two in the semifinals against Hart. In eight games, Maravilla has 10 goals.

Arcadia, which was coming off a fifth-place finish at the Burroughs tournament a week before, went 4-0-1 in the Hart tournament.
