The Hunters (9-0-1) dominated the 32-team tournament, outscoring their opponents 23-3 in seven games, anchored by a sound defensive effort from sweeper Eddie Ponce.

``This does wonders for our confidence, not like we ever really had a problem with it,'' Canoga Park coach Jake Gwin said. ``But one thing it did was help us develop the heart of a champion, which we really need.''

Gwin also enjoyed the national exposure the Hunters received with the game televised nationwide on Fox Sports Net.
