Mike Patterson (born September 1, 1983 in Sacramento, California) is an American football defensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL.

Key reserve: Joubin Kohan

Biggest win: Won four of last six league games.

Biggest loss: Four of five league losses were to champion Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  and second-place Newbury Park.

Strengths: Shooting of Garrett Lepisto, the emergence of sophomore forward Adam Allegro.

Weaknesses Thin in numbers in numbered parts; as, a book published in numbers.

ROYAL

Record, league finish: 10-15, 4-8, tied for fourth place

Key starters: Dusty Cruz (12.2 ppg), Mike Janousek (10.5 ppg), Cameron Dickson, Scott Rice, Branden Foster

Key reserve: Christian Ronquillo

Biggest win: Beating Pacific View League champion Oxnard 64-53 in the Saugus Tournament.

Biggest loss: Losing two league games in overtime.

How Highlanders got there: A wild-card entry in Division I-A

Strengths: Playing its best basketball at the end of the season, and the outside shooting of Dusty Cruz.

Weaknesses Team doesn't have the offensive firepower of the division's top teams.

How far can they go?: If the Highlanders get past Loyola in the Wild Card round Wednesday, they will lose to Mater Dei Mater Dei is Latin for "Mother of God", referring to the Virgin Mary. The term has been used to name various institutions, often Catholic, including:

Biggest win: 51-48 over league champion Carpinteria Friday. The victory gave the Eagles third place and put them at the 10-win minimum.

Biggest loss: Losing last second nonleague games at Santa Paula and Nordhoff.

How the Eagles got there: Finished third in the Tri-Valley League.

Strengths: Can play a big lineup or small lineup and be equally effective.

Weaknesses Only three seniors.

How far can they go?: Although the Eagles are a wild-card entry, they are a division dark horse. A victory today and the Eagles will play top- seeded Laguna Beach on Friday.

Intangibles: The Eagles are young, but making the playoffs eight consecutive seasons gives the school some tradition.
