BOYS' BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS : SOUTHERN SECTION DIVISION III-A CHAMPIONSHIP.

Chaminade (26-1) vs. Bishop Montgomery (20-5)

11:15 a.m. at The Pond

This is a matchup between the top two seeds in the division. No. 1 Chaminade is the most balanced team in the area, its scoring spread among forwards Scott Long and Scott Borchart, and guard Justin Beach, the defense spearheaded by point guard Cayce Cook and the rebounding shared among Long, Borchart and Justin Stewart.

Much like the Eagles, Bishop Montgomery has a number of options offensively. Marvin Perez leads the way (14.0 points), with Brian Pruitt (13.5) and Tony Booker (13.2) following closely behind.

Chaminade has enjoyed a size advantage over most opponents during the season with Long (6-7), Borchart (6-7) and Beach (6-5) in the starting lineup For the line of action figures, see .

. For the first time in the playoffs, the Eagles face a team just as big. The Knights starting five is made up of Pruitt (6-5), Booker (6-5), Perez (6-4), DeVaughn Peace (6-0) and Errick Craven CRAVEN. A word of obloquy, which in trials by battle, was pronounced by the vanquished; upon which judgment was rendered against him.  (6-0).

The Eagles can play a number of different styles, but against the quick, athletic Knights the likely game plan will be to slow things down, pound the ball inside and work the boards.
