Renaissance Academy made one last-ditch effort to climb back into the game in the fourth quarter.

Thomas and Cook made layups, Hector Harold hit a baseline jumper and added a free throw to cut the lead down to three points with 2:43 left.

"They were tough," Corona del Mar coach Ryan Schachter said. "We knew they weren't going to go away quietly."

The Sea Kings made their free-throws down the stretch, highlighted by five from Eberhard and three by Kaluz, to put the game away.

"They deserved to win today, they were the better team," Wildcats coach Sid Cooke said. "They kept their composure. "

Cook finished with 17 points, Thomas had 15 points and Harold added 11.
