BOYS' BASKETBALL: HART FOOTBALL PLAYERS SET TO JOIN BASKETBALL TEAM.

Byline: Vincent Bonsignore Staff Writer

Now that football is over, the Hart High boys' basketball team finally will get its complete group of players back this week.

And that means a considerable increase in intensity during practice.

Football players Brian Elledge, Ryan Wolfe Ryan Wolfe is a fictional character in the show , portrayed by American actor Jonathan Togo. Characterization
As portrayed by Togo, Ryan Wolfe is a man driven to succeed. He displays a desire a to impress his superiors coupled with ambition (c.f.
and Evan Surrant, who spent the past four months helping the football team reach the Southern Section Div. II championship game, bring their skill and toughness to the Indians basketball team. Elledge, in particular, will add a large dose of toughness as Hart's most physical low-post player.

``He plays with so much intensity,'' Hart coach Tom Kelly People named Tom Kelly include:
  • Tom Kelly (baseball) (born 1950), former manager of the American baseball team the Minnesota Twins.
  • Tom Kelly (basketball) (born 1924), played in 27 games for the Boston Celtics in the 1948-49 NBA season.
said. ``He definitely adds a different element to the team.''

Kelly isn't worried about getting the football players up to speed.

``If they're ready to go we'll throw them right in there,'' Kelly said. ``We don't have anytime to wait.''

As usual, this is a deep Hart team. However, all three are expected to start fairly soon.

The Indians (2-0) cruised to two easy victories last week, getting strong performances from Brandon Williams

and Adam Rich Adam Rich (born on October 12 1968) is an American actor born in Brooklyn, New York City. He is arguably best remembered for playing youngest son Nicholas Bradford on the 1970s television drama Eight is Enough .

``It's nice getting everybody back because it makes us that much deeper,'' Kelly said. ``While they were gone, it let some other guys get a chance to grown and develop, that's one of the good things that happens in this situation.''

Rich, a 6-foot-5 senior who averaged 12 points and six rebounds a game last year, is expected to increase his scoring totals and challenge for player of the year honors in the Foothill League.

``He's ready for the challenge,'' Kelly said. ``He's really improved his overall game.''

Rich spent the entire offseason developing his game, focusing on his dribbling and speed. As a result, he now can complement his shooting ability with drives to the basket.

Rich also improved his passing, making him a more complete offensive player.

``He can do so much more now,'' Kelly said. ``It's obvious he really worked hard during the offseason.''

In terms of size, Hart won't match up with league-rival Saugus, but the Indians' depth and quickness should give opponents trouble this year.

With Elledge and 6-foot-4 Jordi Ubaldo taking care of the middle with their defense and rebounding, Rich can roam the perimeter The boundary of a system or network, which defines the inside and outside.
