But once he did, the Conquistadores followed.

Colston rebounded from a less-than-memorable first half, in which he missed four lay-ups by scoring 19 of his 21 points in the second half to lead El Camino Real (6-5) to a 60-53 victory over Oak Park in the opening game of the Chaminade tournament Wednesday.

``It was kind of cold in here when we came in, but then I calmed down and started to make my shots,'' said Colston, who also had six assists.

Then Colston took over. He began driving the lane and when Oak Park's defense opened up, the sophomore point guard found the seams. And when Colston didn't take the shots, his penetration allowed him to dish the ball to teammates Todd Wolfson and Kiley Rodriguez. Wolfson scored 14 points and Rodriguez added six.

``Rai really controlled the tempo in the second half,'' El Camino Real coach John Gould
