It took an a 3-1 advantage on penalty kicks for heavilly-favored Millikan (28-0-4) to defeat the Wolverines after a 2-2 tie after 120 minutes of soccer on Friday. Harvard-Westlake, which finished third in the Marmonte League and defeated Golden League champion Highland of Palmdale and Marmonte League power Royal of Simi Valley in its previous playoff wins, fell behind 2-1 in the second overtime. Anthony Farias-Eisner tied the score for the Wolverines (17-10-2), which is what led to two additional overtime periods. Thomas McAndrews also scored for Harvard-Westlake in regulation.
