Regulation couldn't decide the winner of the Southern Section Division I quarterfinal game between second-seeded host Millikan of Long Beach and Harvard Westlake of Studio City, either could four overtime periods.

It took an a 3-1 advantage on penalty kicks for heavilly-favored Millikan (28-0-4) to defeat the Wolverines after a 2-2 tie after 120 minutes of soccer on Friday.

Harvard-Westlake, which finished third in the Marmonte League The Marmonte League is a high school sports league primarily made up of schools from Ventura County. The Marmonte Leauge is part of the CIF Southern Section. Click here to view the league schedule.  and defeated Golden League champion Highland of Palmdale and Marmonte League power Royal of Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  in its previous playoff wins, fell behind 2-1 in the second overtime.

Anthony Farias-Eisner tied the score for the Wolverines (17-10-2), which is what led to two additional overtime periods.

Thomas McAndrews also scored for Harvard-Westlake in regulation.

OTHER SOUTHERN SECTION PLAYOFF GAMES:

DIV. V

La Canada 2, Colton 1 (OT): Dominic Baiocco scored both goals, including the winner for host La Canada (14-7-2) in a quarter-final victory against Colton.

Justin Young scored the goal for Colton (15-6-4).

DIV. VI

Viewpoint 3, Don Bosco Tech 1: Spencer Brown Spencer Brown is a cult British comedian, actor and writer. His style is surreal and contains elements of slapstick, absurdity and silliness. He also attempts to satirize the sincerity of popular culture and the idea of Englishness.  scored two goals to lead host Viewpoint of Calabasas to its first semifinal berth in the history of the program, with a victory against Don Bosco Tech of Rosemead (18-5-4).

Patrick Handy also scored for the Patriots (19-0-6).

CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTERFINALS

Canoga Park 6, Narbonne 0: Camilo Rojas scored twice to lead top-seeded host Canoga Park to an easy victory against Narbonne of Harbor City.
