CEGLINSKY Special to the Daily News Bernard Kamwa was expected to make an immediate impact for the Taft High of Woodland Hills boys' basketball team after transferring from Ribet Academy of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. over the summer. Now it looks as if he might have an impact of the wrong kind. The City Section office is investigating whether Kamwa is athletically ineligible in·el·i·gi·ble adj. 1. Disqualified by law, rule, or provision: ineligible to run for office; ineligible for health benefits. 2. after finding a discrepancy with his legal guardianship paperwork. ``We have some conflicting information with regards to Bernard Kamwa, and Taft is in the process of doing an internal investigation to gather the proper documentation and resolve the matter,'' said Trent Cornelius, a special assistant with the athletics office of the City Section. ``It could be as simple as a clerical error an error made in copying or writing. See also: Clerical , but nothing has been determined at this time.'' The timing couldn't be worse for Taft (18-4), one of the top teams in the City Section.
