The Toreadors underclassmen struggled, losing in the first round and opening the door for Antelope Valley.

The Antelopes took advantage, defeating Providence in the first round, Agoura in the next game and View Park of Los Angeles in the semifinals en route to a berth in the title game.

Burroughs' route was easier. The Indians defeated Hoover of Glendale in the opener, then San Dimas and tough Highland of Palmdale, which led the Indians by six points in the semifinal but faded down the stretch.

Highland, led by Deno Anderson, Keyisean Reed and Buck Stewart, finished in third after defeating View Park 58-46 on Sunday.

Taft lost to Agoura 46-39 in Saturday's fifth-place game.
