A BOY of 10 was seriously injured in a freak accident yesterday when his uncle shot him in the head.
Tadhg Sheridan fell from a tree when he was hit by the air rifle pellet.
He was taken to Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital The 100-bed capacity Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital is a tertiary hospital located in Daet, Camarines Norte, Philippines, servicing the entire Bicol Region.
The hospital is affiliated with the Our Lady of Lourdes College Foundation, and the Emilia Palencia Medical Mission. in Drogheda, Co Louth, where he was said to be in a "serious but stable" condition.

One distraught neighbour in Tullyallen, Co Louth, told the Irish Daily Mirror last night: "He fell from a height as well as suffering the gunshot wound - he is in a very bad way.
"It was a freak accident, the uncle didn't know Tadhg was in the tree. He is really shook up."
The football-mad youngster was shot at his grandmother Margaret's house in Mount St Oliver at 6.15 pm yesterday .
A source said: "He was hit in the head. when the air rifle was let off outside the house.
"The gun was fired into a tree which the boy had climbed up on and as a result he was struck."
Tadhg's distraught parents Ruth and Paul kept a vigil by his bedside in hospital last night.
The area where the accident happened was last night sealed off and preserved by gardai for technical examination.
A Garda spokesman said: "The 10-year-old boy was shot and was taken to Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital .
"The boy was hit in the head. with a pellet when an air rifle was accidentally discharged in a house.
"We can't comment any further but to say that this was accidental."
Tadhg, who is in 4th class, is a talented young GAA footballer who plays as a back for his school in Tullyallen.
One local councillor said: "This is an awful accident, we are all praying for him and hoping that he will get better soon."
