BOXING: RUELAS BROTHERS PLAN TO FIGHT AGAIN.

Gabriel and Rafael Ruelas Rafael Ruelas (born April 26, 1971 in Yerba Buena, JAL, Mexico) was a professional boxer. Ruelas was a very popular Mexican fighter, best known for his devastating knockout loss to Oscar de la Hoya; a loss which left Oscar somewhat scorned by the Mexican community due to his , the former world champions from Sylmar who intimated last year that they were through with boxing, plan to fight again, Gabriel Ruelas Gabriel Ruelas, (born on July 23, 1970 in Yerbabuena, Mexico), was a professional boxer.

Ruelas turned pro in 1988 and in 1993 challenged WBC Super Featherweight Title holder Azumah Nelson, losing a close majority decision.

``I realized I wasn't hungry,'' he said. ``Winning a world title was my goal, my dream. After that, it was like I was going through the motions. And you can't be content in any business. Now, I feel hungry again. And I think I'm young enough (28) that I can afford to give myself one more chance.''

Rafael Ruelas, 27, suffered a ninth-round knockout to Kostya Tszyu in his last bout, on Aug. 15 of last year.

He could not be reached for comment.
