Oscar De La Hoya Oscar de la Hoya (IPA pronunciation: [ˈɑs.kɛɹ dɛ.lɑ.ˈhɔɪ.jɑ][1]) (born February 4, 1973) — nicknamed the Golden Boy  will have his chance to get revenge if things go as expected.

Mosley (38-2, 35 knockouts) defeated De La Hoya (35-2, 28 KOs) by a split decision June 17, 2000, at Staples Center.

The rematch is contingent on Mosley beating Raul Marquez on Feb. 8.

``This is one of the fights Oscar wanted before he hangs them up,'' Arum arum, common name for the Araceae, a plant family mainly composed of species of herbaceous terrestrial and epiphytic plants found in moist to wet habitats of the tropics and subtropics; some are native to temperate zones.  said. ``... He'll probably never get a shot at (Felix) Trinidad. Everyone now believes he's serious about retirement. So this is important to him.''

De La Hoya has said he won't fight until September but Arum and others are trying to convince him to take an interim bout to stay sharp.

De La Hoya has won three consecutive fights since he lost to Mosley, including a sensational knockout of Fernando Vargas on Sept. 14. Mosley goes into the Marquez fight with consecutive losses to Vernon Forrest.
