Vincent Cook's first inkling of his future career came when he won a high school talent show by doing character bits.

``Even though I was a boxer, I was always a comedian, impersonating teachers and people in class,'' Cook said.

Now his roles include a grandmother who is the center on her church basketball team, which he plays on the BET cable channel sitcom ``Nothin' But a Woman.''

Cook also plans to do a number of impersonations. Cook's repertoire of impersonations includes former Presidents George Bush and Ronald Reagan and comedians Eddie Murphy and Bill Cosby.

His list of impersonations also includes a number of past and present boxing figures, including Mike Tyson, Don King, Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard Ray Charles Leonard (born May 17, 1956) is a retired American professional boxer. He was one of the leading boxers in the world in the late 1970s and 1980s, winning world titles at multiple weights and engaging in contests with such celebrated opponents as Wilfred Benitez, Thomas .

Cook said he had been a boxer since he was 13, but gave it up around 1980. In 1981, he started playing comedy clubs, doing impersonations of Lee Majors as the ``Six Million Dollar Man,'' complete with sound effects, and takeoffs of the O.J. Simpson Hertz Rental Car commercials.

Like comics Robin Williams and Michael Keaton before him, Cook wants to land movie and TV roles someday.
