Steve Collins, nicknamed The Celtic Warrior, is a former boxing champion. He was born Stephen Collins on 21 July, 1964, in Cabra, Dublin, Ireland. punched a security man so hard he fractured two teeth, a court heard yesterday. Collins is alleged to have sworn at a doorman at the National Boxing Stadium in Dublin before punching him. Collins, 44, from St Albans, Hertfordshire, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Albanian Adrialik Voda, causing him harm on June 3, 2006. Opening the case for the prosecution, Sean Gillane said Mr Voda was employed to check passes at the boxing event which featured Dubliner Bernard Dunne Bernard "Ben" Dunne (born February 6, 1980 in Dublin, Ireland) is a professional boxer. He currently fights at Super Bantamweight and is a former EBU Super Bantamweight champion [1]. Amateur Dunne boxed at amateur level for Ireland. . Mr Gillane told Judge Des Hogan the doorman was assigned to a side gate where VIPs and accredited media gained access. He added: "Mr Voda was instructed that no one could gain access without a relevant valid pass. "A man approached him and sought to walk through the door. "He asked to see the man's pass and the man said 'do you know my name?'. "Mr Voda said, 'I do not know your name' and at that stage was pushed." The court heard Mr Voda continued to block the door and asked the man to relax. "F*** you and your f****** door," it is alleged Collins replied. It is claimed Collins then said, "You have two seconds to move" and threatened to put his teeth on the floor. Mr Gillane added: "After that, Mr Voda was told his two seconds were up and was punched. He was hit underneath the chin causing a fracture to two teeth." The prosecutor said evidence would establish the man seeking entry at the time was Collins. Collins, known as the Celtic Warrior, was crowned World Super Middleweight super middleweight n. 1. A weight division in professional boxing having an upper limit of 168 pounds (75.6 kilograms), between middleweight and light heavyweight. 2. A boxer competing in this weight division. Champion after his win over Chris Eubank in 1995. Judge Hogan adjourned the case until 11am today. The trial at the Circuit Criminal Court in Dublin is expected to last three days.
