BOWLERS CAN STRIKE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Byline: Daily News

NEWHALL -- The Domestic Violence Center of the Santa Clarita Valley will hold a Bowl-a-Thon on Sunday to raise money for its programs.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Valencia Lanes, located at 23700 Lyons Ave., Newhall.

Bowlers will have two opportunities to take part. The cost is $60 per bowler and includes three games, rental shoes and a raffle ticket. Bowlers can sign up to bowl at either 10a.m. or 1p.m., and they must arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled times.

The center offers shelter for domestic-abuse victims and works toward community awareness and education to promote nonviolent lifestyles. The nonprofit group has served the area for more than 21 years.

For more information on the Bowl-a-Thon or to sign up, call (661) 259-8175 or download registration forms from www.domesticviolencecenterscv.org.
