BOTTLE ROCKET STARTS FIRE ON GRASSY KNOLL : TEENS' PROJECT GOES AWRY; SMALL AREA BURNED.

Four teen-agers using bottle rockets A bottle rocket is a very small skyrocket. A typical bottle rocket consists of a rocket engine attached to a stabilizing stick. The user can place the stick in an empty bottle (hence the name), and ignite the rocket engine; the mouth of the bottle guides the stick, stabilizing the  to simulate a war for a high school history project wound up leaving a fire for Ventura County firefighters to battle on a hot and windy afternoon.

``When you're lighting a hillside on fire in this kind of weather, it is real serious,'' Meyers said. ``They were just lucky in this case. It could have gone the other way real quick.''

Meyers said the youths were released to the custody of their parents and will face a hearing in Ventura Juvenile Court juvenile court
