See pullorum disease. ) The Company is pleased to announce that the field program in the Makgadikgadi licence area has now progressed to the drilling phase. Initially, six targets are being investigated. The exploration program in the Makgadikgadi area has involved ground follow-up from a previous aeromagnetic survey An aeromagnetic survey is a common type of geophysical survey carried out using a magnetometer aboard or towed behind an aircraft. The principal is similar to a magnetic survey carried out with a hand-held magnetometer, but allows much larger areas of the Earth's surface to be . Following laboratory analysis of the soil samples it is anticipated that further drill targets in the Mopipi area will be selected for drilling following completion of the current program in the Makgadikgadi area. The Company's new licences, to be known as the Okwa area, and covering 4,200 sq. kms., have recently been subject to an aeromagnetic survey as part of a larger government regional resource assessment program. The acquired data is currently being examined to interpret potential kimberlite-type magnetic signatures. A reconnaissance soil sampling survey is being planned. The exploration and drilling programs in Botswana are evaluating an initial 60 of an estimated 150 potential kimberlite anomalies and represent a combination of classical and modern techniques employed successfully by the major mining houses elsewhere in the country. Botswana Diamondfields Inc. has all the necessary technical and financial ingredients to successfully complete the new and current exploration programs presently underway. In addition, the company shall continue to evaluate other mining opportunities in southern Africa to complement the existing exploration operations.
