 BOSTON GLOBE IS FEATURED ON BBC RADIO 'GREAT NEWSPAPER' SERIES:
 PROGRAM TO AIR WEDNESDAY, AUG. 26
 BOSTON, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The Boston Globe is scheduled as the first of six newspapers featured in the 1992 lineup of the BBC Radio series, "Great Newspapers," a series focusing on influential newspapers around the world.
 The series consists of 15-minute shows, each one devoted to one newspaper, with interviews of key staff at the paper. The shows are broadcast to 120 million people worldwide over BBC World Service. The program featuring the Globe, recorded at the Globe in June, will be broadcast three times on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 0130GMT, 0930GMT and 1715GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
 The Globe is the second American paper to be included in the series. The Washington Post was featured last year.
 Globe staff interviewed in the show are Editor John S. Driscoll; Managing Editor Helen Donovan; Senior Associate Editor H.D.S. Greenway; Associate Editor and Columnist Ellen Goodman; Political Cartoonist Paul Szep; White House Correspondent Michael Kranish.
 BBC Radio began the series in 1991, with six papers: The Times of India, The Guardian of London, Izvestiya in Moscow, Le Monde in Paris, The Jerusalem Post, and The Washington Post.
 Other papers in the 1992 lineup: The Times of London, Al-Ahram (Cairo), Die Ziet (Hamburg), The Rand Weekly Mail (South Africa), and Asahi (Tokyo).
