BOSTON ACOUSTICS CAPTURES THREE INNOVATIONS '95 NEW PRODUCT DESIGN AND ENGINEERING AWARDS AT THE WINTER CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW OPENING TODAY IN LAS VEGAS.


LAS VEGAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 6, 1995--Boston Acoustics today received three Innovations '95 awards for new product design and engineering excellence from the International Winter Consumer Electronics Show opening today in Las Vegas. Three speakers in Boston's new Lynnfield VR Series - the floorstanding VR40, the VR12 center channel, and the VRS (Video Relay Service) A communications service for the hearing or speech impaired. A VRS is the video counterpart of a TTY relay service, in which the user types on a terminal, and the relay operator speaks the messages to the recipient (see TDD/TTY).  dipole surround - received the prestigious awards.

Boston's Lynnfield VR Series are audiophile quality, video shielded speakers for use in all home entertainment systems. The Lynnfield VR Series consists of three floorstanding models - the VR20, VR30, and VR40 - plus the VR12 center channel, the VRS dipole surround, and the VR500 powered subwoofer. All models in the VR Series incorporate technology from the company's flagship Lynnfield Series, yet are priced more affordably.
