Aidan made his debut for the Kerry senior football team in 2004. Aidan was on the starting team on the 2004, All-Ireland winning team against Mayo.
 and believes he should have received better protection from the GAA over his positive drug test.

The Kerry defender, inset, became the first GAA player to return a positive test after the All-Ireland final.

It's been a nightmare few weeks for O'Mahony since the news broke and O'Shea was surprised his name was made public before he even had the chance todef end himself.

He is expected to appear in front of the GAA's anti-doping hearings committee before Christmas.

"In some respects, Aidan O'Mahony has had a tough couple of months with regard to a few different things.

"The drugs situation or the testing in particular is probably something that didn't need to go into the public domain.

"Unfortunately, it did.

"It was out of his control. It was out of our control.

"There should have been a bit more communication there."
