Shawn Boskie Shawn Kealoha Boskie (born March 28, 1967 in Hawthorne, Nevada) was a major league pitcher who was drafted by the Chicago Cubs, 10th overall in the 1986 amateur draft. He made his professional debut on May 20, 1990 and had a promising rookie year finishing with a 3.  wasn't at his best Saturday night. He didn't have to be to beat the Milwaukee Brewers.

Boskie pitched eight solid innings before tiring as the Angels defeated Milwaukee 6-4 for their 12th victory in 14 games.

``I felt on edge,'' Boskie said. ``I didn't really ever feel like I was under control.''

Boskie earned his first win in four starts since June 1 and is 5-1 as a starter this season. He allowed four runs on 11 hits, struck out five and walked one in eight-plus innings.

``Sometimes when you feel like you're in control are the times it can slip away pretty quick,'' he said. ``I didn't mind feeling that way. I was never completely comfortable.''
