The opportunity to play on the extensive junior circuit while working with her private coach could have easily given Borisoff her fill of the sport. But one thing keeps the sophomore coming back: Fun. The sheer delight of playing with a group of friends and representing the school she attends. ``Last year was the first time I had ever played on a team for tennis,'' Borisoff said, ``and I had a lot of fun. I made some new friends and enjoyed myself the whole season.'' The camaraderie ca·ma·ra·der·ie n. Goodwill and lighthearted rapport between or among friends; comradeship. Borisoff's game is based on power, yet her ability to view the game mentally has set her apart from other players. ``She is very powerful,'' Limbert said. ``I hit with her and I'm not a bad player, but I have trouble keeping up. She combined her talent with a never-say-die attitude on the court. She's a really nice person, but she's mean on the court.'' Teammate Alyson Tyson agrees. ``Brooke knows how to win,'' she said. ``She has this determination to do whatever takes to win. She can play the mental game or change the physical side to give her the edge she needs.'' ``There are so many parts of a tennis match that you really have to be thinking all of the time,'' Borisoff said. ``Sometimes you have the chance to blow a shot past someone, but sometimes you have to think two strokes ahead and beat them that way.''
