BORAX NAMES A NEW CHIEF APPOINTMENT TAKES EFFECT ON FEB. 16.

VALENCIA - Borax borax or sodium tetraborate decahydrate (sō`dēəm tĕ'trəbôr`āt dĕk'əhī`drāt), chemical compound, Na2B4O7·10H2O; sp. gr. 1.  announced Gary Goldberg has been named chief executive of the global organization and president of the company's domestic operation, effective Feb. 16.

Goldberg began his career with Rio Tinto, Borax's parent company, in 1981.
