``The one who did a great job, who moved like a fighter, was Jon Voight Jon Vincent Voight (born December 29 1938) is an Academy Award-winning American actor. Voight, an Oscar-winner and four-time nominee, has had a long and distinguished career as both a leading man and, in recent years, character actor, with an extensive range.  in `The Champ,' '' said Mancini, a former lightweight champion, now an actor and a producer. ``His movement. That's what I was impressed with. The feet are what I watch.''

Through his Santa Monica-based Boom Boom Productions, Mancini looks to produce films and develop roles for himself. He recently played the lead in a remake of ``Body and Soul'' for The Movie Channel. A 1985 TV movie about his life, ``Heart of a Champion'' starred Doug McKeon and Robert Blake Robert Blake may be:

The original ``Body and Soul,'' starring John Garfield John Garfield (March 4, 1913 – May 21, 1952) was an Academy Award nominated American actor. Garfield was especially adept at playing brooding, rebellious, working-class character roles. , remains one of Mancini's favorite fight pictures, primarily for its depiction of the business side of the fight game. ``It's about how you get seduced by success,'' he said. ``Good guys get caught up in it.  Mancini shared his thoughts on fights, movies and fight movies:

On ``The Hurricane'': ``Denzel Washington Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. (born December 28, 1954) is a two-time Academy Award and Golden Globe Award-winning American actor and director. He has garnered much critical acclaim for his portrayals of several real-life figures, such as Steve Biko, Malcolm X, Rubin "Hurricane"  gives an Academy Award-winning performance. Knowing the real story so well, I know the movie is slanted. So how much do you buy the rest of it?''

in a feature film: ``He's a wonderful performer, but it's hard to think of the guy who sings `Gettin' Jiggy With It' playing Muhammad Ali. I don't buy it.''

On the most realistic fight scenes on screen: `` `Raging Bull.' Ask anyone. If you're asking what's the fight movie they enjoyed most, most people would say `Rocky,' but if you want realism, `Raging Bull.' Nobody had ever seen that before, the close-ups of the action, the sweat flying off.''

On the glut of fight films and TV projects: ``People live vicariously through fighters. Fighting is the one sport people identify as a parallel with life. People take their knocks and bruises figuratively and literally. In the sport, it's literally, but in life, too.''
