) today announced record results for the third quarter and 39 weeks ended October 29, 1994.

Notes:
This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight
 increased 36% to $37.2 million from sales of $27.4 million in the third quarter of last year. Net income for the third quarter of fiscal 1995 was $469,000, up 46% over net income of $321,000 for the same period last year. Net income per share for the quarter was $.03 on 17.3 million shares outstanding versus $.02 on 14.9 million shares outstanding a year ago.

For the first 39 weeks of fiscal 1995, net sales increased 37% to a record $105.4 million from sales of $77.2 million for the first 39 weeks of last year. Net income for the first 39 weeks was $2.5 million, up 55% over net income of $1.6 million for the same period last year. Net income per share for the first 39 weeks of fiscal 1995 was $.15 on 17.3 million shares outstanding versus $.11 on 14.6 million shares outstanding in the prior-year period.

As a result of a secondary offering of 1.4 million shares of Common Stock in October 1993, the weighted average number of shares outstanding increased 16% for the third quarter and 19% for the first 39 weeks of fiscal 1995. In addition, all share and per share figures have been adjusted to reflect the two-for-one stock split effected as a 100% stock dividend in September 1994.
