Let's get a few things straight right from the beginning. James Patterson
John Ray Grisham (born February 8, 1955) is a former politician, retired attorney, American novelist and author best known for his works of modern legal drama. and Stephen King put together. He's responsible for four current, albeit very different, series of books. There's the Maximum Ride high-octane adventure stuff, the FBI agent Alex Cross series, the Detective Michael Bennet strand of crime novels, and finally, The Women's Murder Club Women's Murder Club is an American police procedural and legal drama set in San Francisco. Created by Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain, they also serve as executive producers alongside Joe Simpson, James Patterson, Brett Ratner and Scott Gemmill. series, the latest of which is 7th Heaven. On top of that lot are the standalone thrillers, romances and non-fiction books. And just about everything he puts out is a No1 bestseller. This year alone, Patterson is publishing six new books, of which 7th Heaven is - perhaps unsurprisingly, given that it's only the beginning of January - the first. How, you might wonder, does he do it? Well, he doesn't, exactly. He employs a team of highly disciplined co-writers who effectively execute his storylines. Some books he'll create alone, but the team efforts are indistinguishable from Patterson's own sparse style. 7th Heaven, cowritten by someone called Maxine Paetro, is the seventh in the series featuring detective Lindsay Boxer. It's a typically fast-moving, but intricately plotted story in which Boxer steals the show as the tough cop with a good heart. For much of the book, Lindsay's working two cases - the disappearance of the former Governor of California's teenage son Michael Campion campion: see pink. campion Any of the ornamental rock-garden or border plants that make up the genus Silene, of the pink family, consisting of about 500 species of herbaceous plants found throughout the world. , and a series of deadly arson attacks. A tip-off leads Lindsay to a surprisingly naive hooker who quickly admits to playing a role in Michael's death, while a colleague alerts Boxer to a potentially vital clue in the arson case. It seems that a couple of psychotic teenagers aren't just intent on letting their victims burn to death, having been brutally tormented, but are acting out of a twisted Catholic premise steeped in Latin proverbs. Lindsay, with help from the rest of the Women's Murder Club, finally puts two and two together. YOUR TOP BOOK Read a great novel?
