BOOK SMARTS AREA SCHOOLS CONSISTENTLY PERFORM WELL.

Byline: -Daily News

Schools in southeastern Ventura County consistently outperform others on state and national standardized tests and have garnered reputations as high-achieving school districts.

And the districts are pushing to maintain their high achievers while reaching out to those struggling academically, oftentimes English learners and poorer students. Because of the high standard of excellence, any student who is struggling is provided with multiple opportunities to catch up, including tutoring and study sessions and other forms of intervention.

Furthermore, during the last several years most school districts have implemented interim assessments to allow educators to intervene early so students don't get behind.
