Eugene native plans

signings of debut novel

North Eugene native Eric Wilson will sign copies of his debut novel, "Dark to Mortal Eyes" in Eugene and Junction City this week.

Set on the Oregon Coast, the cross-genre thriller was published by WaterBrook Press, a division of Random House. "Wilson's fresh voice holds promise," Publisher's Weekly said.

James BeauSeigneur, author of `The Christ Clone Trilogy' calls it "the future of Christian fiction."

Wilson grew up in Eugene's River Road area, attending Eugene Christian School and Christ Center in Junction City, where he graduated in 1985. He and his wife, Carolyn, ran a Junction City espresso stand for four years before moving to Nashville, Tenn.

Wilson has local book signings Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Waldenbooks in Valley River Center and June 14 at the Junction City Library from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
