FINDING your way around York's 2,000-year-old City Walls is set to become child's play with the launch this weekend of a new family friendly trail by Visit York.

Retrace York is a trail of nine rubbing plaques positioned at key points around the city's 3.4km walls. Each rubbing builds into a complete map of the ancient walls. The Visit York project has been supported with a pounds 16,000 grant fromthe Your Heritage part of the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). Free Retrace York activity packs containing a rubbing device, tracing paper and an information leaflet, are available free fromthe Visitor Information Centres (VICs) at the De Grey Rooms and York railway station.
