BOEING SAYS FOREIGN OBJECT DAMAGE/DEBRIS CONFERENCE STARTS TOMORROW
On May 5-7, Boeing Defense & Space Group is sponsoring the 13th National Aerospace Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) Conference in Seattle, the company said today.
The three-day conference will be held at the Doubletree Suites, 16500 Southcenter Parkway, near the Southcenter Mall in Tukwila, Wash.
The FOD Conference will bring together experts to discuss one of the aerospace industry's gravest concerns: potential damage to products by foreign debris and how it can be prevented. Foreign debris includes stray items such as nuts and bolts, which, if left loose in a product, could cause a malfunction.
Participants include aircraft manufacturers, all branches of the military, airlines, electronic firms, airport authorities, foreign interests and aircraft engine companies, as well as major tool suppliers.
Boeing personnel and other industry experts will be available for interviews to explain the aerospace industry's continuing work to provide customers with FOD-free products.
