BOEING HONORS OUTSTANDING SUPPLIERS
BOEING HONORS OUTSTANDING SUPPLIERS SEATTLE, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Seven companies -- selected from
more than 3,800 suppliers in 31 nations -- yesterday received Boeing Commercial Airplane Group's highest honor, the "President's Award for Excellence" for "exemplifying the continuing quest for quality improvement and finding ways to build a better airplane," Boeing (NYSE: BA) said today.
The annual award was presented by Boeing Commercial Airplane Group President Dean Thornton to the seven suppliers, six from the United States and one from Japan. The firms were chosen because they demonstrated superior performance in on-schedule deliveries, cost and price control, customer service and continuous quality improvement. "Teamwork and continuous quality improvement are the keys to success and are important to our partnership," said Materiel Division Vice President and General Manager Jim Blue. The Materiel Division manages the suppliers. Receiving the awards at the Kirkland, Wash., ceremony last night were: E-Systems-Montek Division based in Salt Lake City, Utah, a supplier of flight control systems; E. W.
