BODY OF PALMDALE WOMAN DISCOVERED IN A.V. FIELD.

Sheriff's officials identified the 29-year-old female whose body was found bruised bruise

 Friday evening in a field near Avenue R east of 50th Street East.

The body of Elaine Quintana of Palmdale was discovered by two juveniles in the area who notified the Sheriff's Department.

"People saw the woman and we got a few calls," said Sgt. Pat Hunt.

Deputies said they believe the body had been left there by someone just before its discovery.

"This is a little different," Hunt said. "Usually we get people from Los Angeles The following is a list of notable people whom were born in, residents of, or otherwise closely associated with the city of Los Angeles, California. Officials said the woman was not wearing any shoes or pants, but was wearing some type of blouse or top.

Sheriff's officials are now awaiting results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
