 body was found Saturday evening along the busy 8500 block of Sepulveda Boulevard.

The unidentified victim was found by a janitor of R.V. Automotive shop, said Alfredo Bilbao, a mechanic at the shop. Workers in the area said the body was discovered near a bush around a fence in Verb 1. fence in - enclose with a fence; "we fenced in our yard"

It was unclear whether the body was that of a man or woman. A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County Coroner's Office said Sunday that investigators had not yet examined the body.

Sgt. Kristie Romero of the Los Angeles Police Department's Devonshire Division said the body was so badly decomposed it was hard to determine much about the victim.

``From the photo of the head I saw, you couldn't even tell if it was a man or a woman,'' she said.

Bilbao said he was scared when he saw the body.

``I've never seen something like this before,'' he said.
