BOB EVANS FARMS NAMES CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Stewart K. Owens becomes executive vice president, chief operating officer of Bob Evans Farms (NASDAQ: BOBE), effective Jan. 3, 1994, announces Daniel E. Evans, chairman of the board of the company.
Owens, affiliated with Bob Evans Farms since 1987 when his family's business, Owens Country Sausage, was acquired, most recently served as group vice president of food products and president of Owens Country Sausage. He is also a member of the company's board of directors.
According to Evans, a chief operating officer for the entire company is a new position, one he believes adds strength and stability in terms of leadership.
A realignment of top management to support the new position puts Larry C. Corbin, formerly group vice president of business development, in charge of the company's restaurant operations as a senior group vice president. He has spent his 31-year career with the company in the restaurant business, most recently developing the company's Mexican entry into the casual theme segment, Cantina del Rio. Corbin also serves on the company's board of directors.
Victor W. Argobright, formerly group vice president of restaurant operations, is no longer with the company. According to Evans, Argobright disagreed with this restructuring plan.
Newly responsible for the food products group is Roger D. Williams, who also becomes a senior group vice president. He adds responsibility for the production and sales of Bob Evans Farms Sausage, Owens Country Sausage and Mrs. Giles Country Kitchens Salads in addition to those he already has for the company's marketing, purchasing and technical services.
Promoted to group vice president of finance and chief financial officer is Donald J. Radkoski, formerly senior vice president and chief financial officer. Also promoted to group vice president is Joe B. Crace, currently vice president of Bob Evans Farms Inc. and president of Hickory Specialties, a 1991 acquisition by Bob Evans Farms. Crace will become group vice president of specialty products and business development, with responsibilities for acquisition activity for Bob Evans Farms.
