``We're going to enter into escrow very soon now,'' Hart Superintendent Bob Lee said. ``Site plans and land purchase will be finalized in 45 to 60 days.''

The board might give the district the final go-ahead to begin a purchase agreement with Newhall Land for the Rio Norte site at McBean Parkway and Copper Hill Drive, Lee said.

The board also will be updated on the plans to buy two school sites in the Stevenson Ranch area for its sixth junior high and sixth high school. The two new schools are being planned on Valencia Boulevard about a half-mile west of the Golden State Freeway The Golden State Freeway is a north-south freeway running through Kern County and Los Angeles County, California. ``It will begin formalizing the process,'' said Lee, adding that the board will be looking at issues such as transferring the deed to the property and terms of the purchase.

The meeting behind closed doors will precede a 7:30 p.m. public meeting at the Stevenson Ranch Elementary School's North Campus, 26995 W. Poe Parkway in Stevenson Ranch.

During the meeting, architectural plans for Rio Norte and the two Stevenson Ranch campuses - Rancho Pico Junior High and West Ranch High School West Ranch High School is a public high school in the community of Stevenson Ranch, Los Angeles County, California. ``All the designs for the three schools have been done and submitted,'' said Lee, referring to school design plans sent to the state Department of Architecture.

``We want to focus on Stevenson Ranch schools at this meeting,'' said Michael Otavka, director of facilities for the district. ``We're including Rio Norte because of its similarities to Rancho Pico.''

Both junior high schools will share the same design.

Rio Norte and the district's fifth high school, Golden Valley High, are currently under state review, with construction expected to begin later this year.
