BOARD TO PICK KLEIN MINT CANYON SCHOOL TO GET NEW PRINCIPAL.

CANYON COUNTRY - The assistant principal at Canyon Springs Community School is expected on Wednesday to be named principal at Mint Canyon Elementary School elementary school: see school. .

Sheryll Klein, who has served in the Sulphur Springs School District The Sulphur Springs School District is a school district in the Santa Clarita Valley that serves portions of the Canyon Country and Newhall communities within the city of Santa Clarita, California. ``She was a highly successful teacher,'' Nolet said. ``We're looking forward to her in her new role.''

After spending about nine years as a teacher at Mitchell and Pinetree community schools, Klein was promoted to assistant principal and spent three years at Mitchell and four years at Canyon Springs in that capacity.

Klein's appointment comes as principal Dan Leavy was reassigned to Canyon Springs Community School.

Several other principals in the district were also moved around this year after Sandra Ferguson Sandra Ferguson (born March 23, 1967 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American actress. She is also credited by Sandra Reinhardt from 1989 to 1992, while she was married to her first husband, John Reinhardt. When they divorced, she switched her name back to Ferguson. , principal of Valley View Community School, left the district and moved out of the area with her husband.

Nicolas Ferguson, who served as vice president of administrative services, left College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  earlier this year after accepting a position with an Orange County school district.

District officials said Klein brings a strong experimental background in administration to her new position.

She has a firm belief that no other field allows one to make the kind of overwhelming difference to society that can be made in touching the lives of today's young people, officials said in a news release.

``The things that we are very proud of at Mint (is) it has a very strong parent-based community, it is focused in the right direction academically, and has a very good teaching staff,'' said Nolet. ``We want her to continue to move along those lines along all fronts.''
