Board refused to accept a motion
of no confidence in it at a board meeting in Pairc Ui Chaoimh last
night.
Responding to a request from the delegate from Ballyhea GAA club,

, that "Ballyhea GAA club proposes a vote of no
confidence in the officer board of Cumann Luthchleas Gael Chorcai
because of the way they handled the recent dispute," county board
chairman Jerry O'Sullivan said that he was disappointed that the
club felt the need to bring such a motion.
He added that it was "unprecedented", and that the board
had not done anything wrong during the strike by the Cork hurlers.
The chairman said that he was not accepting the motion on the
grounds that rule 50 of the official guide of the GAA said that county
board officers were elected at annual convention and remained in their
posts until the next convention.
