BOARD OF TRUSTEES HOLDS MEETING.

Manama, Nov. 22, (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad's Advisor for Media Affairs and Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) Board of Trustees Chairman Nabeel bin Yaqoob Al Hamar extended in his name and on behalf of the board of trustees members heartfelt thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the royal trust in appointing the institute's Board of Trustees. Al Hamar vowed to exert every effort to carry out the royal orders for the benefit of Bahrain and its people. He hailed in the board's first meeting, held today at the institute's headquarters, the importance of BIPD as a pillar of the Royal Reform Project initiated by His Majesty the King. The institute seeks to spread the culture of political awareness among all people in order to groom generations capable of coping with political movement in the kingdom and engage them in electoral contests while adhering to the principles of allegiance and patriotism, he explained. The institute's new board of trustees bears now more than ever the responsibility to further develop the institute and continue its march by overcoming all obstacles faced in the past, he said. The board has also to come out with a new and more proactive vision to extend the circle of the institute's activities and enable it to practise its role in the Bahraini society more effectively, he noted. The board of trustees agreed to set up a micro committee, including in its membership Dr Fuad Saleh Chihab, Dr Mohammed Ahmed Abdullah, Dr Mai Al Atibi and Dr Abdullah Yousef Al Hawaj, in charge of reviewing the institute's activities and projects and working out a new plan for the year 2010, he stressed.
