 BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE WORTHINGTON ARMSTRONG VENTURE
 NAMES RALPH V. ROBERTS PRESIDENT
 LANCASTER, Pa., May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of The Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) has named Ralph V. Roberts as president of the company, which is a joint venture being formed effective June 1, by National Rolling Mills, Inc., a subsidiary of Worthington Industries, Inc., and Armstrong World Industries, Inc.
 Roberts is currently executive vice-president and general manager of National Rolling Mills, of Malvern, Pa.
 WAVE will produce and sell grid used to support suspended acoustical ceiling systems. With headquarters at Malvern, this new joint-venture company will take over grid manufacturing facilities now being operated by National Rolling Mills and Armstrong.
 Other WAVE officers will be: vice-president for marketing, Robert C.L. MacDonald, who is currently marketing manager for suspension systems and specialties, Building Products Operations, Armstrong; vice- president for finance, Michael K. George, who is operations accountant for the Residential Building Products Division, Armstrong; vice- president for manufacturing, Paul C. Gillenwater, who is vice-president for manufacturing -- acoustical, National Rolling Mills; and vice- president for engineering, William J. Platt, who is vice-president for engineering -- acoustical, National Rolling Mills.
 Chairman of the WAVE Board of Directors is Henry A. Bradshaw, group vice-president, Building Products Operations, Armstrong, of Lancaster, Pa.
 Other members of the Board are David J. Feight, general manager of sales and marketing, Building Products Operations, Armstrong; Edward H. Ferkany, group vice-president -- steel, Worthington Industries, and vice-president, National Rolling Mills; Richard L. Lentine, controller, Building Products Operations, Armstrong; Donal H. Malenick, president and chief operating officer of Worthington Industries, and president of National Rolling Mills; and Joseph H. Stegmayer, vice-president, chief financial officer and treasurer, Worthington Industries, and vice- president and assistant treasurer, National Rolling Mills.
