BNY Asset Management Introduces Consultant Relations Team.

 -- BNY BNY Bank of New York  Asset Management, The Bank of New York's investment management arm, is introducing a new consultant relations team to enhance its strategic focus on the consultant community serving the asset management industry.

The team will be led by James. J. Barrett, who has been appointed managing director of Institutional Sales and Marketing, where he oversees Consultant Relations, Client Service and Mid-Market Institutional Sales. Mr. Barrett joins The Bank of New York The Bank of New York, abbrieviated to BNY, was a global financial services company that existed until its merger with the Mellon Financial Corporation on July 2, 2007.[1] The bank now continues under the new name of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation.  from Northern Trust Global Investments, where he was responsible for business development, consultant relations, and client service. Reporting to Mr. Barrett will be:

--James F. Woods Jr., managing director, responsible for maintaining relationships with key institutional investment consulting firms. He joins BNY Asset Management from Pilgrim Baxter & Associates, where he was senior vice president of Institutional Client Service and Sales. He also has served in a variety of consulting, investment management and corporate finance positions at SEI Investments, Crown Cork The crown cork (also known as a crown cap or just a crown), the first form of bottle cap, was invented by William Painter in 1891 in Baltimore. The company making it was originally called the Bottle Seal Company, it changed its name with the almost immediate success  & Seal Company and Novartis Corporation.

--M. Randall Strickland, managing director, responsible for investment management relationships with institutional consultants. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Strickland worked for American Century Investments American Century Investments is a privately held investment management firm. Its headquarters are located at 4500 Main in Kansas City, Missouri, near the famous Country Club Plaza. It was formerly known as Twentieth Century Investments. The company was founded by James E.  in a consultant relations capacity. Previously, he led the Global Consultant Relations team at RCM RCM Reliability-Centered Maintenance

--Jason Soto, vice president, responsible for consultant outreach, communications and due diligence Research; analysis; your homework. Mr. Soto worked at The Bank of New York from 1993 to 1996 and rejoined BNY Asset Management in January of 2000 in the capacity of Investment Consultant Relations. Prior to rejoining the firm, Mr. Soto was with JP Morgan Investment Management where he oversaw an analytical team responsible for servicing institutional client relationships with multiple investment strategies incorporating both traditional and alternative products.

--Michael M. Russo, manager of investment analytics. Previously, Mr. Russo was manager of Investment Analytics at John A. Levin & Co. and served in several institutional asset management and sales positions at U.S. Trust, Charles Schwab Corporation, and Sanford C. Bernstein & Company.

Mr. Pisarkiewicz noted that Vincent Bailey will continue in his role as managing director in charge of institutional sales and client service for the large plan market.
