BNS to Deliver Motive for Broadband Management Throughout Europe.

BNS enhances customer experience with Motive Home Device Manager

AUSTIN, Texas -- Motive, Inc., a provider of service management software for broadband and mobile data services, has announced that BNS Data Logistics, a distributor of hardware and Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) based in the Netherlands, will offer Motive Home Device Manager (HDM) software as an outsourced broadband management service to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) throughout Europe. The deal will enable BNS, through its newly established BNS Services division, to offer ISPs of all sizes the advantages of improved customer service and reduced support costs for all their next-generation digital services, including VoIP, IPTV and home networking.

Since it became available in 2005, 18 service providers worldwide, including BNS, have selected Motive HDM to manage their next-generation broadband services. BNS will now offer HDM as part of its package for ISPs, making the technology available to a wider range of ISPs throughout Europe.

Headquartered in De Meern, the Netherlands, BNS Data Logistics is one of Europe's largest providers of complete xDSL solutions to ISPs, offering networking equipment from vendors including Alcatel-Lucent, Thomson and Siemens. The firm's BNS Services division was set up to fulfil the company's aim to move beyond providing tailor-made product bundles, to a managed service-based approach, that enables BNS to add ongoing value through, among other things, auto-configuration and firmware upgrades for ADSL routers.

Through BNS Services, the organisation is offering the Motive HDM solution to reduce CPE deployment and replacement costs, decrease the number of 'No Defect Found' CPE returns and significantly limit early life help desk calls - all of which are essential for service providers rolling out next-generation services. Through the use of outsourced auto-provisioning, truck rolls will be reduced and the customer will enjoy greater flexibility and ease of installation. In addition, Motive has provided a hosted solution--essential for BNS as the company has no data centre of its own and provided extensive staff training.
